Papers

I just handed in my paper for geology. It wasn't such a bad paper to write this time. I think that I understood what I was talking about. It is always good when you don't feel that you are BSing through 8 pages without knowing about anything that you are talking about.

I have 2 papers due today both of them were on geology but one is for my Environmental Studies class. I can't believe what some people are proposing in order to combat global warming. My blood was boiling yesterday when I was reading about people pumping CO2 into geologic formations in hopes that it will be precipitated out as a carbonate mineral within the formation. Knowing the processes of precipitate formation it is hard to find perfect systems for this to work and the CO2 could be released from the wells in explosive out gassing. This isn't even taking into account the CO2 produced to make the electricity to pump it down. I don't care if you don't think global warming is real. It isn't my place to tell you what is what, but this just isn't logical to me. Produce more of something just to store it where it couldn't naturally go.

Sorry, I didn't mean to go on a tangent, but that was what my other paper was all about. It was an interesting read for sure.

2 of my 3 classes were canceled today. It is so much fun to be done with my assignments and have time to myself for the first time in several days. School is fun. I am not too stressed. I go in for my student teaching orientation next Wednesday. Endrit goes in for his interview the Wednesday after that. Things are getting checked off of lists. I am going to go to a couple of days of field camp to see the people down there and the formations that they are looking at. I think that will be lots of fun. I get to sign up for my Fall semester on Thursday. YAY! So life is good. I am relaxed. I feel better about this paper for Geo than I have with any of the other papers that I have written so I have hope that I will get a better grade. I am hoping that I get the same grade on the paper I handed in a week ago.
