Congrats Josh K.

Honestly I know too many people I know named Josh.  Well, this is Josh K.  The only other Earth Science Composite Teaching Major in my year at the U.  He showed up to class yesterday with his acceptance letter into the student teaching year!  I am excited about this because I like familiarity.  I don't know anyone else very well in my year so it is nice to see a familiar face.  He was stressing and we didn't think he would know if he got in until after the 15th (when we thought they would meet) so it was good news for sure. So Congratulations Josh K.  It is good to finally have an answer.  

So now we are going to be fighting over student teaching positions.  I hope that I am able to student teach in the charter middle school that I took a class at.  It just seems so nice.  It will be interesting to see everyone.  It is a little bit daunting because of the caliber of teaching that they have there.  The teacher I would teach under would have a Masters degree in biology and teaching. This is pretty standard for this school.  I am sure that they would like to teach me.  They are very high caliber and if I had a letter of recommendation from them it would be worth it's weight in gold.  We will see.  This is my hope.  Then there is the back up plan of Clayton where I still have my lanyard from being there almost every semester with the same instructor...again it is a familiarity thing that would be nice.  A bad thing would be some of the kids are in my ward.  That is the main reason why I would rather go to the other school.  

Another thing funny with Josh is that we halfed our expense on some tracing paper. We had to walk through the bookstore on the day that people are walking in getting their robes and we are both so excited that this time next year, we will be waiting in the horrifically long line to get our cap and gown for our graduation.  I think the only other day that I would be happier on would be Endrit's day of getting his graduation cap gown and hood.  That will be a great day.

So, that is it right now.  I am doing well in my classes this far in the semester.  If I pass everything with a C I am good to go so I am not too scared that I will be bad.  I got the class opened for me this summer.  I have what I need to take in the Fall.  I have everything sorted out.  I am ready to be done :)
