Church

Mark 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

I really do love my teaching calling at church. I know that little 5 turning 6 year olds can be a minor pain in the behind, but at the same time they are still excited to learn...and to color. Today we learned about the "suffer all the children to come unto me" story. The kids thought that it was a good story and I liked it because sometimes I see the kids thinking that all this church stuff is for the grown-ups. I think that it is that way because many of the stories deal with Jesus teaching the older people. The week before we talked about the miraculous conception of John the Baptist and they are 5! They are worried about their next crush or keeping away from girls, not that miraculously a really old couple could have a child. Not that the story isn't a good one because it gives me great comfort in my life right now. The kids love it when we talk about Jesus with the children. It makes it relevant to them. The children that Endrit and I teach are awesome. Some are better behaved than others but you can see that purity within them. Endrit is really good with the kids, especially with the ones that are not well behaved at all. He does good with a challenge. What a comfort to me that he will know how to handle my children when the time comes...with my genetics...they might be little crazy kids that we will try to teach with the best of our abilities.
