Happy Friday the 13th!

I didn't notice that it was friday the 13th until I was sitting in my review session and I wrote down the date on my notes. I have always enjoyed Friday the 13th. It seems to bring me good luck, which I am more than happy to take when it falls on an exam day in Physics. Good day for me. I like my substitute teacher's review sessions better. He goes through all of the main concepts learned and each equation you need to know and then he does a few random and hard questions that might be on the exam. It TOTALLY helped me on this exam. I loved the way that he reviews even though I don't really like the way he introduces the material to start.

Side note...Endrit just came in and told me that Tim Russert died today. He died of a heart attack while at work at NBC. He was 58 years old. That made me sad. No one should die that young. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Now I feel bad writing about the thing that I was going to put in this blog, but I feel spoiled and I will share. Endrit is a technology buff. He loves staying as up-to-date as we can afford. It is sometimes a bad thing, but at the same time he does research on when the best time to buy things is. We were planning on getting a PlayStation 3 later on this year. We would really like to switch over to blu-ray because we have an HDTV and want to get full value out of it. Endrit fouldn a screaming deal that Wal-Mart was having with the release of MetalGear Solid 4...which we sold on Ebay :) Endrit and I don't like games like that...anywhoo...With this release they were offering a $100 giftcard for Wal-Mart/Sams Club with buying a blu-ray player. This PS3 was on the list of players that is elligable for the giftcard. We also had cashed out creditcard points for $275 so we had $375 right off that we would not have to pay ourselves. We always wanted a PS3 for our blu-ray player because it is a computer...not like a computer...a computer. You can surf the web with the TV as your screen. It has an 80GB hard drive, 4 USB ports, SD port, CompactFlash port, memory stick port, you can play your Ipod through the sound system speakers via PS3, etc...it is an awesome system. Totally worth the money that we spent on it. It didn't come with the compatability cable for our HDTV. It only had the red, yellow, white plugs which is only 420i quality while our TV is 1080i quality. I know that doesn't mean much, but basically it comes out pixelated because of the cord. We bought a foreward compatable 1440i 1080i ready cable. Which means if we get a better quality TV down the road, we will have a cable that supports the best quality. We should be getting that in the mail shortly. We went to Sams and bought Planet Earth on blu-ray...exactly how it should be enjoyed to the best quality. Once the cable comes in I will sit down and watch that series in awe and wonder. I am truly excited for that day. I really hope it is tomorrow. Now we are up-to-date with the TV/movie technology and at a fraction of the cost. That is the best way to purchase things. I am sure that the wii is next but not for a long while. It just seems like Endrit and I spend more during the summer. I am sure that we are done with big purchases for this year.

We also recieved our $100 giftcard from lowes from a promotion they were doing when we bought our washer and dryer. We got a new shower head, a tomato plant four our portch garden, elastic holders to keep in our trunk, bateries for our smoke detector (we haven't had a working one since we moved in :( ), a car adapter for a plug in. It was awesome. We got all those for $4. The showerhead is really nice.

With the other gift card we filled our tank with fuel, got windshield wipers, and the blu-ray disks. We are pretty practical people when it comes to "free" money. Endrit is really fun to shop with when we know that we are spending money that we didn't have to get. It is a circle where we had to get something to get it, but we were going to make those purchases anyways so the money was just a perk. I am so spoiled. I may not have a house, but I have good things to place in my apartment. Even my landlords are awesome! They have been remodeling the apartment across from ours for the last week and a half. We didn't have the right part for puting on our shower head and Endrit went and asked them for help to put it on and they gave us an adapter and was really nice in coming over to help even though it was our purchase. They even said to take the showerhead off when we leave and not worry about putting anything else there because they are replacing the old fixtures. They even complimented that we would do upleep like that and it shows them that we are staying for a long time. We are almost certian that they won't increase the rent until we leave. They are much too nice of people. They have been telling us that they were sorry about the noise every day. They gave Endrit and I a tour of the new style of apartment and sincerely ask about our schooling. Great people. But it has just been an eventful little while since wednesday night and so I had a lot to update. I am really happy today...minus the whole Tim Russert dying.

That is all.
