Navigation Skills

In order to go through University successfully, navigation skills are a must. If there is someone that doesn't know what they are doing, it is your responsibility as a student to be able to know their superior so that things can work out in a timely manner in your favor. It has been my duty this summer to get my degree audit sorted out. About 80% of the classes were an easy trade. I just had to bug them. Once it gets into another class that is in another department it is a different story. I didn't think that a class that was taken at the U would be the one causing the headache. But, I knew the person to talk to. It took 1 phone call to him for him to go down to the previously mentioned person and fix the problem. I am happy. Everything is all fine and dandy. Classes are substituted in the proper place (although my DARS will never say that I have completed the major *sad face*).

I have started my VITA for admissions into the Masters program I wish to pursue. I still need to do my personal statement. I had one person refuse to do a letter of recommendation for me. I was slightly stunned! I hadn't asked him to do that for me before. (I like to ask fresh blood.) So, I hope to gain enough of a relationship with my summer class instructor to ask her to write one. Things are going well on the school front.

Endrit is going in for his interview in less than a week! June 1 is coming up so fast! We can't be more excited about this time. It won't get canceled on us because of errors on their part. We don't see anything that can go wrong. So it will be fun. That is also the day I take my first exam of the summer semester.

What is DARS? Are you saying you will not have a BS in Earth Sciences? How can that be?

Degree Audit Report System. I will have my BS, but because of some transfer classes the DARS will never say "complete". To get a BS my department has to sign off that I have enough for a degree.
