I have learned that people should know administrative duties to be able to get on well at University. Usually, I set aside a whole day for staying in the student services building, departments and whatnot for academic administration. There is nothing wrong with that. It is how I am able to not have to pay for my Fall and Spring semesters now that I am in state tuition. I have to say I have gotten quite good at it. After 5 years, I should be good at it. Today I went to 3 windows and 2 offices to get things all settled.
I paid my summer tuition (ouch).
I talked to financial aid about my scholarships (yay!).
I talked to the loan department to start the re-payment of my student loan held by the school (I am on top of things).
I paid 1/5 of my loan off for my Perkins loan.
I talked to the graduate school about the university grad school requirements and the complications that could arise with my bachelors degree not posting before I start my Masters (no problem).
I bought my textbooks for summer semester.
I did a 1.5 hour workout in the gym and in the pool.
Now I am sitting here waiting for a couple of hours for my class to start. It is so much fun.
Another thing that Endrit and I both decided to do was to bite the bullet and pay for internet. We decided that with me in student teaching and grad school after that and him needing to do his work at home through the programs he has on his laptop it was no longer acceptable for us to *hope* that we would have internet. We will be able to have it for 5 devices. We only need it for 4 devices (the wii, PS3 and both our laptops) so it works out well. It is surprising what a good year of scholarships can afford you. Plus we know that I will be working while getting my Masters so we decided that it was more than worth it. I am excited. It will be on May 21. Nice anniversary present.
Today was a good day. I got most of my questions answered. I am almost set for school the next 3 years. Fun times.

That's awesome. Gotta love wading through all the offices, paperwork, and requirements for school and scholarships, but it's totally worth it. I got pretty good at it too, when I was at Utah State, and it paid off for me. I'm glad things are working out well for you! :)
