I took a long nap today...a great lazy Saturday. Now I am not tired. I realized that I left out part of my reunion experience. Endrit and I were able to go to the Monticello temple and I loved it. It was definite boost in my spirit. It was much needed after a long summer of school. It was a great place to start my summer vacation. I am also getting excited to possibly go to St. George in October pending financial stability with scholarships.
Things are going well in our household. It is nice to sit back and watch the Olympics. They are really fun to watch. It is amazing what some people can do. I watched Michael Phelps win his first gold medal of the games and Dara Torres win silver with her relay team. Not too shabby. It is fun to see those raw emotions. Plus the woman's fencing team won gold and that is awesome.
Endrit is doing well in his work. It has taken a while to be respected in his lab, but slowly and surely he is getting known to be a hard worker who knows what he is doing. I am really proud that he is so determined in what he does and that he loves what he is doing enough to go through so much schooling to get where he wants to go in life. I only wish I could aspire to have half of his patience and persistance.
I am officially 2 years away from getting my first degree. I am getting a 5 year degree in 6 years with a transfer. It is really exciting. It doesn't mean that I am done, but it means that I only have student teaching after that. I have been in school longer than I have left and that was a huge hurdle for me to pass. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. I only have 2 generals left to take and I am SO excited to be done with those. I was done at ISU, but standards at the U are much higher. Things are starting to get real that I will be done. I started counting down graduation by reunions and I only have 1 Pope family reunion until I graduate. Wow. Where does the time go. I know that my life will be interesting as that time approaches and will stay interesting for some time after that. It is exciting and intimidating to get ready to move onto the next stage in life.
That is about all for now. I am content.
