School, Temples, and Life Through Rose Colored Glasses.

Things are going well so far. I have gotten past the point of understanding that I was stuck at with the last time that I took Physics. I know that anyone reading this that has a love of physics thinks that I am lame for not understanding, but my brain just doesn't work in algebra...it isn't my fault :). I have another midterm today. I can't believe that I am already taking my second midterm. In a week, I will be half way done with the course! CRAZY! I love that I can just work on one class. It really makes me not have to prioritize classes. I blame my mineralogy class for me getting an A- in history because it was more important. Now I only have one important thing and it is physics...so far so good. Wish me luck.

I am going to the Pope family reunion this summer and I am leaving July 31 for the site. I am passing through Monticello on the way and going to the temple there. Anyone who can and would like to just shoot me an email rachelshurdha@gmail.com and we will plan together which session we will try to make it to. As far as my all temples in Utah goal before I graduate, we have Manti, Monticello and St. George left. We know that Monticello will be this July and St. George is where we will be going for Fall break since this break doesn't fall over Thanksgiving at the U. I think that will be fun. I think we will stay there for 2 days, one night. This all depends on weather and money, but why not take a nice warm trip south when you are freezing in SLC? We are thinking that Alex, Brydie, Mom, Dad, Endrit and I, and whomever wants to go to Manti with us should start planning for next spring/summer. That is when Endrit and I will be going. I think that it may be another "for our anniversary" trip but since there are more people that want to go we may have to be flexible. I say that if it is planned enough in advance people can schedule around it...so I say lets band together to make the weekend closest to May 21, 2009 the date to go to Manti. Hopefully by that time we can take Endrit's parents as well. I am really glad that I love the temple and go as often as I can. Endrit and I have still never missed a month since marriage. I never missed a month between going for the first time and the wedding so I hope that when we graduate and move, we live close enough to a temple to keep that our goal even with little ones running our lives. Hopefully we have great neighbors, or close family that can help...I know that I would be a good take my kids for temple night if you take mine sometimes as well. Endrit and I saw the new oquirrh mountain temple yesterday from a distance and we are excited to go there when it is done because it is close. There is also one in Draper getting built which is also a close temple. I love living in the Salt Lake valley because there was one time that I really wanted to go to the temple, didn't look online at closures, SLC was closed so we went to Bountiful. Easy as that. It is fun. We would also like to go to Rexburg, Twin Falls and Boise, but that may not happen and we are okay with that. So invitation to all who can come with Endrit and I to Manti or Monticello. If you can pry yourselves away from family and what-not October 13-18 2008 we will be heading to St. George for 2 days, one night, May 21, 2009-ish for Manti, and July 31,2008 for Monticello. Again, all are welcome to come with.

Endrit is busy working on his research, one Ethic class and research is all he will be doing. I will get my las math intensive class out of the way this summer (except for the labs). We really are doing well. We love where we live, we love the people that we know here. Our future looks very bright and we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for school. Finishing school will be a huge transition for us because that is all that we have known our entire dating/married life but we are definitely looking forward to it. For me school is 4 years down, less than 3 to go. I am over the hump and very empowered by it. I found out last night that I didn't necessarily need to graduate with a teaching license. I am getting 2 degrees. I will graduate with my earth sciences degree in 2 years. The last year I will graduate with my teaching degree. That will make it like I have done something good. It doesn't make me want to not get my license, I know that I need to get that degree as well because it is Endrit and I's fall back plan if he gets out of a job. I will automatically get licensed in whatever state we end up in and having a previous one is better than having to go back to school to get a teaching degree from somewhere else where you just have to take a state proficiency test to get a new license after an old one. But I think that I will plan on graduating with my bachelors in May 2010 and the next year will be for Endrit. I haven't decided but that is what I am planning. I guess that it is a pride thing that I want to get my Bachelors before Endrit gets his PhD. It also sounds a bit better to say you graduated in 6 years rather than 7. I should probably leave some other stuff for me to blog later. I get on these I am thinking about everything that is exciting and write massive blogs. This is my life...I love it.
