This weekend Endrit and I went to Manti. It is the most beautiful temple that I have been able to go to. It was an interesting time for me because first off in the morning I couldn't for the life of me find my temple recommend. For those who don't know, this is something you need to go to the temple. We were planning on leaving at 7:00 am to make it to the 10:30 session. So I rake my mind to figure where I would have put it. I went to Salt Lake on St. Patrick's day so I knew I had it in the front room. It took an hour, but I found it.
The drive down was wonderful. I love just sitting and talking to Endrit. He is my best friend.
The spirit that was in the temple was amazing. I always love to go to the temple. There was a day I needed spiritual guidence and Salt Lake was closed. Endrit and I just walked around temple square, sat down on a bench and got the answer to our prayers.
I think that Manti is now my favorite temple. It is awesome. I think that everyone should be able to go to Salt Lake and Manti at least once in their life. Even though the same words are spoken and the same spirit is there, it is the history that comes with them that makes it truly amazing.
I truly have a testimony of the temple. I love going to the temple at least once a month. I love that my husband loves to go to the temple. I love how close I am to the lord right when I enter the doors of the temple. I know that the temple teaches truths. I love that I feel at peace when I am in the temple no matter how disorganized the rest of my life is. I never want to be at a point that my temple recommend expires. I always want to be able to go to the temple whenever I feel that I need the extra boost of peace in my life.

Thanks so much for sharing your testimony of temples! That is one thing I would like to be able to do more of.
It's really hard to make it to the temple after you have kids. A session is two hours and where the nearest temple is an hour a way (that's 2 hours of driving) plus you might as well spend some time in the Celestial room and grab a bite to eat. so, once it's all said and done it takes about 5 hours, and it can be pretty hard to find a baby sitter for that long.
The last time Ryan and I made it to the temple was for our 5th anniversary in July, and it was a quick trip - not very restful at all.
I really need to make more of an effort to make that a priority. You're such a good example!
I'd love to go to the Manti temple someday. The last time I was there I think I was 8 or 9 - and I remember it being a lot like the Logan temple, but it really is quite a bit different isn't it?
