On Saturday, I got to go and see the Joseph Smith movie on Temple Square. It was nice to be able to sit through the movie and learn a little bit more about the first prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in this dispensation. From humble beginnings. It is a reminder to me that he was a man. He couldn't have organized this church in the manner of the Lord without the imput of the Lord and His heavenly messengers.
It took me back to my trip to Nauvoo. I stood in the room that he was killed in. I saw where he was jailed. It makes me humble to know that such a great man was so vilified. Then I think, the Lord will give you trials that you can bear. Nothing more. Joseph was an amazing man for being able to bear the burdens that were placed upon him during the infancy of the Church.
