My graduation date has been really finicky. I think that I have enough classes to get done faster than expected and then hit a brick wall with a class that I didn't expect that pushes me to my brink. Then I realise that I took 2 full classes over the summer that were some of the main reasons why I would have to wait another year to graduate. I recalculate what I would have to do, and including summers, I do have a good chance of graduating when I would like to. If this doesn't make sence to anyone, I am with you. It has been a horrible process to get a concrete graduation date. I am still longing for that concrete date, but it seems that it is kind of like set up jello right now. Pretty solid, but giggly. If you are still lost in translation, here it is.
For the last year I have been pretty set on a May 2011 graduation date. I found out I didn't have enough classes to be considered full time for the whole time, but it wasn't little enough to be considered for early graduation. I was set on taking a break and getting some money through working dring the 8 months I had off. I re-did my schedule, and because I was able to get my Physics requirement taken care of within a summer semester, it opened up a spot I wasn't counting on. With 15 credits next semester, and then 9 during the Summer, I will be on my way to graduating May 2010. A full year early. This is an exciting prospect. I am taking my pre-professional exam, getting letters of recommendation, and all of the other fun stuff that I have to do in order to get into my program. It is really exciting for me to think that I could be graduating in a year and a half. It sounds so close now! I was waiting to announce this until I met with my academic advisors to cross all my T-s and dot all my I-s. This is the plan. I really hope that classes are offered when I need to take them because that will be the only thing that will hold me back from when I would like to graduate. Wish me luck. I hope by this time next year I will be starting the process of student teaching preparation.
