frustrations...

I got my physics test back today and I did good on it. I got the average which translates to a B so not so bad with my confusions with mixing up numbers a lot! I believe that I am slightly dyslexic with numbers and there was one question that I got the answer totally right but off by a factor of 10 which was the factor that I mixed up one of the given numbers. I only got 2 out of 7 points on the problem! I think that I deserve much better than that score on that problem so I am turning it back in for regrade. I am just perterbed right now because of this. I already feel that the class is slightly too hard for me to get an A but when there is stupid grading things like this it seems as if I just can't do it. Physics is a bigger hurdle than Minerology was. I have always been good with pictures but Algebra I just can't do. I don't know why...my brain doesn't work that way. This physics is algebra based and I think that it is pretty much a math class. Oh if I can just survive the summer. Now to go to the gym to make myself deaf with wonderful music and mix sweat with a couple of tears. I just want better than a C because I know that I am a smart person. I have the motivation but the class is so fast and the homework questions don't look even close to the test questions so I don't know how to study...now to re think this next test...

Something I have been asked about...a lot

From people that don't really know me all that well it is interesting the questions that they end up asking. I say that it is because of the culture that I live in with all of the big life changing moments seeming to come faster to people. I find someone in class that has a similar wedding ring as me and she is sitting right next to me. It is a break for the class so I decided to be social and tell her that her ring is pretty. It didn't have a wedding band so I thought that I could ask if she was married. We exchanged compliments on how we got our rings and so on, but when I asked how long she had been married she told me and asked me. I am overly excited about our 3rd anniversary coming up so I told her. I think that she assumed that I was going back to school after a while and she asked me if I had children. Obviously if you know me you know the answer to that...yes, a 2 year old kitty. I don't seem to understand the question. I would have never thought to ask her that. I believe that she was LDS but I can't be totally sure. The funny thing is whenever people here find out how long I have been married they always ask the same question. This has happened to me 3 times this week. This got me thinking about why they would ask and I really don't know why. I love going to school. I have a goal in mind for graduation. In the past 2 years I have seen 2 absolutely amazing girls graduate less than a month after giving birth to their first child. That is absolutely amazing to me. I also thought that my family that keeps up with my life may want to know the workings of Endrit and Rachel's brains when it comes to becoming a larger family than Mom, Dad and Dexter.
I didn't think that I would actually tell people this because when the time comes I don't want people wondering if I am knocked up yet, but at the same time I want people to be supportive and understanding while we are waiting to start our family.
As of right now my graduation date is set for May 2011. Endrit is tentatively going to graduate at that time but it could take another year after that. We talk about children almost every day. I didn't think that there was that much to talk about, but when a news story comes on or I see a cute book in the store it just comes up. Also it comes up a lot more with me becoming an aunt again and a few friends having their babies within a month of each other. Heaven bless those little, or not so little, families.
About a year ago Endrit and I got a feeling that my degree would come first then a baby. At least my mind was a little bit settled until I got my official graduation date. It seemed a bit far off, but who am I to question? I am on a message board that is big on dates so I wanted a tentative date of when we were going to stop preventing. I did tons of research. I mean a TON of research on everything because of my medical condition and what effect that could have on our having children. For me it won't really be an easy task trying to get through student teaching while growing a child. I knew that I was supposed to be pregnant or trying to get pregnant when I graduate, I just wanted to do the math and see what time would be best. About a month ago Endrit and I were talking about this subject and my 25th birthday came up. November 21, 2010 will be in the last month of my Fall semester before my student teaching. If we were to get pregnant within a month after that date, I would graduate at the very start of my 3rd trimester. It almost sounds perfect. There are complications to this, obviously, but as it is 2.5 years away a girl can dream of being as prepared as possible to add a child to the world. I have an understanding that it may not be easy to get pregnant, but I would rather start later and have problems than start earlier in thinking there may be problems and have a baby in the middle of my last semester. Endrit is happy about this date. I am happy with it. I get the most precious birthday present in the world. Also...I am horrible...Endrit and I have decided that we will not be finding out what the sex of our babies are going to be. If we cave, the earliest we would find out is 35 weeks. We have agreed on a lot of things that most would consider wierd, but what else is to be expected from us.
I don't know why I wanted to post this, but I know that at some points in my education that are hard, I will want to switch roles when the time isn't right and need more support than Endrit. So there it is for anyone who really cares. If all else fails, we will adopt. Just please if you happen to remeber this in 3 years, we will tell you when the time is right. Just like you found out much later that Endrit and I were engaged. When the time is right it is right. Yeah... That is all.

A Testament of Tithing

I have always had a testimony of tithing. It has really never been a problem for me to give it. I know that I have reaped the blessings of tithing the last couple of years with funding for schooling and medical coming out of the woodwork when Endrit and I were up to our ears in credit card debt from those bills. We have been able to get completely out of debt the last little while which has been such a blessing in and of itself. I have been applying for all the scholarships that I thought I qualified for. This is the first semester that I have gotten every scholarship that I applied for. I have a good GPA, but it is lower than my GPA has been in the past so I can't attribute this to me just getting better grades. I was on cloud nine when I learned of most of my scholarships almost a month ago. I looked at my financial aid report today and I received a scholarship that I forgot that I applied for. It is truly amazing that the Lord has the ability to truly pour out the blessings so you don't have room enough to receive it. I sometimes think that if you already have a testimony of something not much can give you a greater testimony of it. It is nice to know that there is always a deeper understanding of the blessings that the Lord can bestow upon you.
This latest scholarship wasn't a little one either. It is another $3,000. I love that we have enough money for me to easily go to school without paying for it for at least the next 2 years. I am happy.

3.75

That is my GPA from last semester! I am definitely happy with that. I thought that I would share this accomplishment with the world.

Summer Semester

This is the first time that I am taking a summer class in my academic career other than driver's ed. So far it hasn't been too bad...it has only been one day. I have looked over the homework (a problem is provided that I had to do for HW set 2 where A=3.2 B=5.1 and C=4.6. What is the resulting vector D and Theta? Yeah so it is a bit of math but it has mostly been trig which I find quite enjoyable so I have today and tomorrow's homework done. Since this is a summer class, and a class that is really only half of the summer, I have homework due every day and a test every friday so yes, I have my first midterm this Friday...wow. It is nice that I can devote my time to this class so that when it gets harder...much harder...I will be able to still be able to devote enough time to it to understand the concepts. So far only this question that I show is the only one that has made me think twice. I think that I will like this workload rather than having time to procrastinate. It seems like I am always in procrastination mode which I think I work best in. I will take my Final for Physics 1 on June 20 and then start Physics 2 June 23. Wish me luck!

The first grade was posted...

I find this time of the semester most stressful; the time between finals and the posting of grades. I find that if I do well I can get one grade that I want and if I don't do so well I will be disappointed. I think that is a natural reasoning behind most people in school. So I religiously look online for the posting of my grades at least once a day. SO after a long day of traveling to Vernal and back with a huge crash in Parley's, and a great dinner at Tucci's I got online and thinking that of course my professor wouldn't post the grades on Saturday, and there it was...my grade for Petrology. I yelped in amazement and jubilee. I got a B+...This class was so hard! I was really hoping for a C so that I didn't have to retake the class. So there it is. My first grade that was posted didn't let me down. University really isn't all that bad if you don't worry. Yeah like those 2 things don't come together naturally. More grades to come :) hopefully those will be non-disappointing as well

Recent additions to the house

Here is our new washer and dryer. We have had them for a little while but it took a while to post them. This is our new glider. We got a ragged one from DI for $20 and found the fabric on a sale of a sale at Joann's. Endrit's mom is an awesome lady and reupholstered it. So in total a $120 glider was $30! I am good and Luljeta is awesome!
